Carmién's nursing tea

The rooibos tea mixture of fenugreek, fennel and anise, specially developed by Carmién for breastfeeding, stimulates and increases lactation (milk production).

Rooibos contains neither caffeine nor bitter and tannins and is a delicious, well-tolerated tea while breastfeeding.

Vanilla and anise give the nursing tea a soft, slightly liquorice taste.

Best results are obtained with 4-6 cups daily, hot or cold.

Note: Please do not drink during pregnancy!

How do I prepare the breastfeeding tea?

Use 1 tea bag for approx. 250-300 ml for an infusion and brew the tea bag with boiling water in a cup or teapot. Allow the rooibos tea mixture to steep for 5-10 minutes, depending on the desired intensity of taste.

Depending on your taste preferences, you can add a little milk, honey or sugar or a fresh lemon slice to the infused rooibos tea mixture.

The best drinking temperature is 60° C, but rooibos tea is always a delicious drink when chilled or drunk as an iced tea.

What does fenugreek do in women?

Fenugreek (Helba, Trigonella foenum-graecum L.) comes from the Mediterranean region and grows on dry, saline soils.

While the plant's elliptical leaves resemble those of "true" clover, fenugreek is a member of the legume family.

Because of its high protein and mineral content, it was formerly used as animal feed.

Fenugreek is characterized by its strong maple syrup-like scent, which is reminiscent of fresh hay.

Fenugreek promotes the recovery of the exhausted female body after childbirth. In nursing mothers, it improves and stimulates milk secretion.

CAUTION: If you are contemplating a child or are pregnant, you should avoid fenugreek as it can promote bleeding and cause an abortion.

Rooibos itself has no kilojoules and is naturally caffeine-free and low in tannins and suitable for breastfeeding mothers.

Rooibos tea contains no coloring, additives or preservatives and is therefore a natural drink.
