A Tea with an Address

Krieberg Farm, Cederberg: this is where Corné & Lydia van der Westhuizen harvest their rooibos — and this is where it’s packed. The Cederbos farm brand means: directly from the growers, packed on the farm, with no detours.

And then this idea: rooibos as a dessert moment — warm, nutty, refined. Sounds unusual? That’s exactly what sparks curiosity: Organic Rooibos – Natural, Maple–Walnut, Chocolate–Orange, Vanilla–Almond, Honey–Lemon, Chai — a touch of French finesse inspired by Lydia’s home, Nice. She moved to South Africa for love — the aromas carry that accent.

Cederbos — France Meets Cederberg

“Chez Nous — at home” is written at the family’s gate. Corné tends the fields, Lydia shapes the compositions. Since 2018, a rooibos line has been created on Krieberg Farm that unites origin and pleasure — with subtle pâtisserie accents rather than loud sweetness.

This is where Cederbos rooibos lives: on Krieberg Farm. And in Lydia’s aromas, Nice lives on — gentle, rounded, French-inspired.

How Does It Taste & What Does It Pair With?
  • Character: warmly nutty, gently rounded; the natural rooibos sweetness arises during fermentation through phenolic compounds — no added sugar.
  • How to enjoy: hot after a meal, as a mild evening tea — or cold over ice with a twist of lemon zest.
  • Good to know: caffeine-free; rooibos remains the base, the aromas support — not overpower.
Preparation
  • Cup: 1 bag · 95–100 °C · 5–8 min.
  • Teapot (0.5 l): 2 bags · 95–100 °C · 8–10 min.
  • Iced: brew hot, let cool & serve over ice
Why Cederbos?
  • Packed on site: harvesting, processing & packing on Krieberg Farm (Cederberg).
  • Direct from the growers: Corné & Lydia van der Westhuizen — clearly traceable origin.
  • French-inspired: Lydia’s roots in Nice shape the fine dessert-like profiles.
  • Caffeine-free & versatile: reliably delicious hot or cold.
Where Does the Rooibos Come From?

Rooibos is native to the Cederberg (Western Cape, South Africa) — where climate and fynbos shape the plant. Cederbos harvests on its own land; the rooibos is sun-dried and gently processed. This way, the origin remains tangible in every cup.
