Carmién Organic Rooibos Tea is a pure, fermented rooibos from certified organic cultivation in South Africa. It has the characteristically mild and well-balanced taste of rooibos, with a naturally subtle sweetness.

The tea contains only organic rooibos and no added flavourings. Rooibos is naturally caffeine-free and can therefore be enjoyed at any time of day. The 20 pyramid tea bags each contain 2.5 g of rooibos and are suitable for both traditional hot preparation and for enjoying rooibos tea chilled.

Preparation

Pour 250 ml of boiling water (100 °C / 212 °F) over one pyramid tea bag and allow to steep for 5–10 minutes. Adjust the steeping time according to your preferred strength.

Enjoy the rooibos on its own or add milk, honey, sugar or a slice of lemon to taste. Carmién recommends a drinking temperature of approximately 60 °C.

Note: Do not boil the tea bags in water, as this may damage the plant-based tea bag material and cause the bag to tear.

Pyramid tea bags made from plant-based PLA

According to Carmién, the pyramid tea bags are made from PLA, a plant-based material derived from renewable resources such as corn starch, sugar cane and cassava. Their pyramid shape provides the rooibos with sufficient room to infuse during steeping.
