This classic rooibos comes from Zeekoevlei 109 Farm in South Africa’s Cederberg region, where the Smit family oversees cultivation, fermentation and packaging on-site under the Ouhuis brand. The tea is fermented immediately after harvest, dried on the open “tea court” and then carefully packed – preserving its full flavour and natural quality.
Through controlled fermentation, rooibos develops its typical reddish-brown colour and smooth, malty aroma with a hint of vanilla. Naturally caffeine-free and low in tannins, it is gentle on the stomach and ideal for young and old – at any time of day.
