Organic Buchu Camomile Tea 40g, tea bags
Buchu Tea with Camomile – soft, fragrant and unusually clear
At first glance, Buchu and camomile seem like two very different plants – and that is exactly what makes this blend so interesting. The intense, spicy-fresh character of Buchu meets the soft, sweet-fruity floral notes of camomile. The result is not an ordinary herbal tea, but an infusion with a character of its own: mild, fragrant and still distinctive.
Anyone who already finds pure Buchu interesting will experience a calmer side of it here. The camomile does not take away Buchu’s individuality, but gently softens its cool, cassis-like freshness. That is exactly what makes this blend approachable without becoming generic.
Why Buchu and camomile work so well together
Buchu brings natural freshness, clear herbal character and its typical notes of blackcurrant and mint. Camomile is softer, rounder and more floral. Together, they create a balance that does not feel sweet or heavy, but calm, aromatic and finely structured.
That is why this tea is not simply “Buchu plus camomile”, but a clearly defined style: less cool and direct than pure Buchu, yet much more characterful than a pure camomile infusion.
How this blend tastes
At first, the infusion feels soft and fragrant. Then the typical Buchu notes begin to show – fresh, lightly minty and gently reminiscent of blackcurrant. The camomile holds the blend together and gives it a milder, rounder centre. That makes this tea especially appealing to anyone who enjoys herbal teas with character, but does not want a harsh or dominant herbal effect.
Directly from Skimmelberg
This tea comes from Skimmelberg in the Cederberg. The farm stands for organic Buchu and Rooibos products from South Africa and connects origin, cultivation and processing in a way that can be recognised in the cup. That matters especially with a blend like this: it does not rely on loudness, but on a clean and well-built balance.
HOT INFUSION:
Pour about 250 ml of 90 °C hot water over one teabag in a cup or teapot and leave to steep for at least 4 minutes, depending on taste.
Enjoy it plain or refine it with a little honey, sugar, lemon or ginger, if you wish. The most pleasant drinking temperature is around 60 °C.
This tea also remains a special pleasure when enjoyed cold.
