Honeybush Espresso Capsules – sweet-floral, smooth and perfect with milk
Honeybush is South Africa’s gentle, fragrant espresso alternative – especially popular as a base for lattes and cappuccinos. With capsules, you can make it quickly and cleanly at the touch of a button.
Important: What the capsule version tastes like
From the capsule you get a concentrated honeybush drink that tastes more like a strongly brewed honeybush tea – mild, rounded, often with a honey-like floral note. If you’re looking for maximum “espresso-style extraction”, the portafilter version (pads/loose) is generally more intense. For capsule convenience, honeybush is ideal – especially in milk-based drinks.
Compatibility
Original system format: suitable for Nespresso® Original machines (not Vertuo) and many compatible devices.
Preparation (quickstart)
- Start with the Espresso button (short pull).
- For latte/cappuccino: froth milk finely (up to max. 65 °C).
- For iced drinks: brew directly over ice.
How to make it stronger (practical tips)
- Pull it short instead of lungo.
- Milk drinks: use 2 short pulls instead of 1 long one – the flavour stands up better.
- Rinse first (water run) so no coffee aromas mask the honeybush.
