Organic Green Rooibos Tea 50g, tea bags
Organic Green Rooibos Tea – bright, fresh and unadulterated
Green Rooibos is the clearest and most direct way to experience Rooibos. Unlike red Rooibos, it is not fermented. That gives the cup a brighter, fresher and slightly more plant-like character – not heavy, not sweet, but calm, clear and close to the leaf itself.
If you want to drink Rooibos without additional ingredients, this is the purest form. No ginger, no bergamot, no added herbs – just unfermented Rooibos with its own fine profile. That is exactly what makes this tea so appealing to anyone who wants to discover Rooibos in a lighter and fresher style rather than in its rounder, warmer form.
Why Green Rooibos feels different from classic Rooibos
The difference lies in the processing. Green Rooibos remains unfermented and therefore keeps a brighter, clearer and slightly more lively style. While red Rooibos tends to feel soft, mild and lightly earthy, Green Rooibos shows more freshness, more closeness to the leaf and a finer, almost grassy lightness.
That is why this tea is not just a side variation, but a style of Rooibos in its own right. If you want to drink pure Rooibos but are looking for a lighter and more transparent cup, this is exactly the right place to start.
How this tea tastes
In the cup, Green Rooibos feels fresh, clear and pleasantly light. Typical is a bright, plant-like character with fine, slightly grassy and gently soft notes. The impression remains calm and clean without becoming flat. That is exactly what makes Green Rooibos so approachable: it feels pure, but not severe.
If you are looking for a naturally caffeine-free cup that does not rely on flavours or spices, but lives entirely from the leaf itself, Green Rooibos is a particularly convincing form.
Directly from Skimmelberg
This Green Rooibos comes from Skimmelberg in the Cederberg. The farm stands for organic Buchu and Rooibos products from South Africa and connects origin, cultivation and processing in a way you can recognise in the cup. That matters especially with Green Rooibos: without added ingredients, the quality of the leaf comes through particularly directly.
HOT INFUSION:
Pour about 250 ml of 90 °C hot water over one teabag in a cup or teapot and leave to steep for at least 4 minutes, depending on taste.
Enjoy it plain or refine it with a little honey, sugar, milk or a slice of lemon, if you wish.
Green Rooibos also makes an excellent base for a light iced tea.
