Organic Green Rooibos Ginger Tea 50g, tea bags
Green Rooibos Tea with Ginger – fresh, spicy and clearly citrusy
Green Rooibos with ginger is not a heavy spice tea, but a bright, fresh blend with a clear direction: the grassy-light character of unfermented Rooibos meets the warm spice of ginger and is lifted by orange and lemon peel. That contrast is exactly what makes this tea interesting – not sweet and soft, but clear, spicy and citrusy.
Anyone who knows Rooibos mainly for its round and mild side discovers a different style here. Green Rooibos remains unfermented and therefore feels fresher and slightly more herbal. Together with ginger and citrus peel, it creates an infusion that tastes lively and clear, without bringing any caffeine.
Why green Rooibos works so well with ginger
For this blend, Skimmelberg combines unfermented green Rooibos with ginger, orange peel and lemon peel. The combination works so well because green Rooibos provides a lighter, fresher base than classic red Rooibos. Ginger brings warmth and gentle spice, while orange and lemon add extra lift and freshness to the cup.
The result is not a generic flavoured tea, but a blend with a clear profile: botanical, spicy, citrusy and pleasantly light.
How this tea tastes
At first, the infusion feels fresh and clear. Then the spicy ginger and fine citrus notes begin to unfold. The green Rooibos holds the blend together without pushing itself too far forward. That is exactly what makes this tea appealing for anyone who wants to experience Rooibos in a less round and sweet, but more lively and brighter way.
Directly from Skimmelberg
This tea comes from Skimmelberg in the Cederberg. The brand stands for organic Buchu and Rooibos products from South Africa and brings together origin, processing and clear product ideas in a way you can recognise in the cup. That matters especially in a blend like this: it does not rely on loudness, but on a clean and well-built balance.
HOT INFUSION:
Pour about 250 ml of 90 °C hot water over one teabag in a cup or teapot and leave to steep for 5–10 minutes, depending on taste.
Enjoy it plain or refine it with a little honey, sugar, milk or a slice of lemon, if you wish. The most pleasant drinking temperature is around 60 °C.
Hot-brewed tea also makes an excellent base for a fresh iced tea.
